We have packages for the iPAQ very well maintained by Jean-Paul Saman,
as stated in http://www.videolan.org/vlc/familiar.html.

We don't have packages for Solaris, because actually I do not know
if solaris has a packaging system, and there are so many solaris
versions around that I don't know for which to build a binary package.
Ideas ?
