Hi, Jean-Paul,

Now it's OK to play from the dvd drive directly, however, it still can't play the VoB file I copied to the hard drive from the same disk. It just appears a black window with nothing, and the playing time indication is still running as normal. I don't quite understand why.

Regards,

Haining

Did you made sure the dvd device was unmounted. (umount /mnt/cdrom) ?

If not send the vlc logs (vlc -vvvvvvv dvd://dev/dvd), please.

Good luck,
Jean-Paul Saman
