title/chapter select gives error

Greetings -

	Over the past couple days I've had great difficulty with selecting
	titles/chapters.   The error that comes out is of the form:

	thread 135984896 error: mutex_destroy failed at (null):0 (Device busy)

	Sometimes the playback window just goes away and I can hit 'play' and
	start over but sometimes 'vlc' just goes catatonic and requires a 
	"kill -9" (which also means removing the shared memory segments left
	behind).

	The other thing I noticed tonight (or this morning actually ;)) is
	that the audio was extremely distorted - I see this is a known problem
	but it is a mystery to me why the problem comes and goes (happens some
	nights but not others).   Does not appear to be a hardware problem 
	because mplayer's audio was fine on the same DVD.

	It would seem there's a bug or two (or three ;)) in the chapter/title
	selection.   Sometimes it works (but only with chapters <= 32) but 
	other times it causes vlc to hang or terminate the playback window.

	Anyone else seeing similar events?
