input: packet lost/packet corrupted

can someone "decrypt" the following errormessage for me:

input: packet lost by TS demux: current 8, packet 0
input: packet corrupted, PES sizes do not match

as soon as one of these appears on my vlc-messages-panel the movie lags for
about 0.5second. i attached the whole vlc-messages-output. it's a
unicast-stream coming from a dvd. vls is running on gentoo-linux. vlc is on
win xp.
