Late Picture Skipped error

Hi,

I am manipulating GOPs to get a TrickPlay kind of effect. (for eg. remove B frames from a GOP to give a fast forward feel) but VLC goes into Late Picture Skipped error & cannot come out of it. What do I do? Why does this happen?
