OOps sorry, I forgot the details

I use the newest version vlc-0.4.3 under SuSE Linux 7.3 Kernel 2.4.10 Gnome
I download the tarball vlc-0.4.3.tar.gz
I also download tarball libdvdcss-x.x.x.tar.gz (I don't have the version
number of this here right now)
I extract libdvdcss with tar xvfz libdvdcss.x.x.x.tar.gz, run ./configure
--prefix=/usr/libdvdcss, make and make install. That seemed to work fine.
I extract vlc-0.4.3 with tar xvfz vlc-0.4.3.tar.gz
run the ./configure command with --prefix=usr/videolan --enable-gnome
--enable-dvd --with-libdvdcss=/usr/libdvdcss (i think it works fine)
By running gmake i get the message, that the plugin gnome.so can't be found
(i ignore it)
After make install (i get the message about missing gnome plugiin again) i
start vlc and get the gtk Interface. I click on Open Disc. By doing this, i
get the message Access Module dvd unavailable.

Greetings from a german linux beginner
Heiko
