Did anyone manage to stream using ipv6?

Probably not what you're after, but the vcdimager (www.vcdimager.org) suite 
of tools is a particularly easy way to rip VCDs to mpegs on disk (and burn 
them too).

i.e.

# vcdxrip --cdrom-device /dev/cdrom

... and that's all.
