Check out recent work on the ffmpeg project
(http://ffmpeg.sf.net) where ASF streaming
is now working.

It would actually be nice if the videolan
project helped ffmpeg with the PTS and
broadcast/multicast stuff, and the ffmpeg
group helped videolan with the ASF support
and real-time V4L2 encoding.
