It should be possible ; I even remember having tested when since i wrote
the related patch.

To make it work, you need to use the plugin dvdread (with
libdvdread-0.9.2-videolan for use with a recent libdvdcss). Then it
should allow the reading of a directory if nothing has been broken
since.
