[vlc] any progress with OSX 10.2 & DVDs?

Hi guys,

Are we any closer to addressing the incompatability of vlc with OSX 
10.2?  Does anyone have experience of being able to play DVDs from 
different regions under OSX 10.2?  It's till not clear to me if anyone 
has actually done this.  I know we've had a spate of people expressing 
difficulties.
