   An encrypted DVD is nothing uncommon unfortunately; almost all DVDs
you can buy today are encrypted. The average consumer isn't aware of
this because he either has a standalone DVD player or a Windows player
which implement descrambling.

   VLC can, but most other DVD players can too.
