[vlc] OSX (10.2) how on earth does this work??

I tried doing this, and nothing happens.

This is driving me crazy; can someone direct me to page or a file or a 
site that makes this software ACCESSIBLE?

Why doesn't someone write SIMPLE instructions on how to use this 
client???!!!


CAN someone PLEASE walk me through this for Mac OS 10.2???
