[vlc] vlc not playing VDR/DVB transport stream (while mplayer does!)

Why vlc is still not playing the Video Disk Recorder (VDR) transport 
streams recorded from DVB? I think that there was a patch, but why 
not include the support for special transport streams in vlc?

PS: mplayer for OSX *does* play these transport streams flawlessly! 
With a better graphical interface mplayer will be the better player, 
because on linux it's quite perfect...
