iMac 800mHz G3 and vlc/mpeg2

I currently have the 15" flat screen 800Mhz G4 iMac with the
Superdrive and it works fine in both producing and displaying DVD's and with
VLC it is fine with VCD's. In fact by comparison with my Pismo laptop it is
much brighter during iMovie editing and playback.
