[vlc] Full Screen Mode

Hi, 
	I'm having trouble getting the VLC client to
display full screen. Currently when I select this option,
I'm getting the video in a centralised 1/4(ish) size window.

I'm running VLC on Red Hat Linux 8.0 with a Gnome desktop, on a Fujitsu
Siemens Laptop (PIII 850 128Mb RAM, ATI 128 Mobility Graphics).

It plays DVD fine, just not in the full screen mode!
Can anyone point me in the direction of a man page that might
help, or any ideas that I could try?
