Well for the moment this is not gonna change. But the really 
interesting thing is why you would ever want to use a program like VLC 
to transfer files. Why don't you use Window file sharing (supported by 
mac and pc) or ftp for that? File Tranfer programs and protocols are 
much better suited for such tasks then a Video application.
