The VLC is not available for the MacOS 9 and previous OS.

The problem is that it would need a huge amount of work to achieve the
OS 9 port, as it is very different from macosX.

That's why the developers prefer to concentrate on adding new features
and improving the ones that exist, rather than on porting the VLC on a
old and not supported anymore OS.
