[vlc] Problem viewing VOB file under Win2K at 1280x1024

When trying to use vlc to view a VOB file under Win2K, I get sound but no
video (black window) when my display is configured to 1280x1024.  If I set
it back to 1024x768 the video shows up normally.  While having the black
window problem, vlc is continually streaming error messages of the type
 "vout: could not blit the surface."
I am at the latest version of DirectX (version 9) and the latest video
driver (Intel onboard video for 815 chipset...82815).  vlc version is 0.4.6.
