[vlc] broadcasting from /dev/video

Hi,

I need to find a solution to broadcast from a WinTV card (v4l). I've read the whole documentation, which only says to recompile (no such easy and takes a lot of time).

So, isn't it another solution, such as "ffmpeg | vlc" ?

By the way, I did compile the VLS from the CVS, but even with --enable-v4l, VLS warns that v4l is unknown. Even better, the conf file supplied with the CVS version don't talk anymore about grabbing from v4l. Is this function dead ???
