[vlc] pb video output

Hello

I try to use vlc-0.5.3 with RH 8.0 on Pentium II, with no particular hardware.
I have configured the player as mentionned in the user guide (that is,
with no particular option).
I use the player without GUI, with the following command : vlc -vvv MyFic.MPG.
It seems to be OK, but the video output is black, but a colored point in
the upper left corner.

Probably there is something wrong, but i have no idea of what exactly.
Perhaps have you some beginning of an idea ?
