[vlc] VLC on RedHat 7.3

Hi,

I have been trying to install VLC under RHL7.3 from the current RPM file "vlc-0.5.3-1rh8.i386.rpm (VLC package for Red Hat 7.3 and 8.0)". This seems to present me with many rpm dependencies and file conflicts. The filename suggests that this RPM is intended for RH8.0. Am I correct in assuming that RH8.0 would be a much easier starting point (than 7.3) to get VLC running using this RPM?
