[vlc] vlc installation

hi all,

I am installing vlc for the first time in order to
perform some MIPv6 experiments on the LAN. 

I tried installing it using the RPMs sent but it gives
an error saying :

error: Failed dependencies:
        libaa.so.1 is needed by vlc-0.5.3-1


I am not able to understand how to proceed in order to
rectify this. Kindly help. Thank u all in advance.
