[vlc] Decryption taking 50min

Hi;

I am running:

- knoppix 3.2(debian)
- vlc 0.5.3-3
- libdvdcss2     1.2.6-1
- libdvdplay0    1.0.1-4
- libdvdread3    0.9.4-3
- A Pentium 4 2 gigahertz chip with a 512 mhz bus, and 515 megs ram

I have been able to use this combination to watch all of the encrypted DVDs in my collection except one boxed set of an old British sci-fi show ( Space 1999 ).

When I would try the decryption process would stall. I usually let it sit 15min.

Last night I forget to kill the "stalled process" and left it sitting on another desktop. After 50 min the decryption process returned and started playing the DVD.

The problem is that it requires 50min everytime I play the dvd again or jump tracks.

Is there an option I can set so that the decryption process remembers what it did the last time and does not take 50 min everytime I want to watch the DVD?

Below is the output of this vlc run.

Thanks in advance for any information

Steve
