[vlc] Multicast stream between Linux Server and W2K Clients

Hi,

Firstly I would like to say that so far I think VideoLan is a great
program and hope that it carries on getting better & better.

However, after sucessfully getting a DVD Unicast streams to work, I am
unable to get the save DVD working as Multicast.

I am using Red Hat 8.0 (VLS-0.5.0) as the server, which appears to be
working fine (the DVD drive is being read and no errors in the log),
however nothing is ever seen on the client-side (Windows 2000 + VLC-0.5.2)

I think the appopriate section from the vls.cfg is as follows:-

BEGIN "multicast"
   Domain  = "Inet4"
   Type    = "multicast"
   TTL     = "2"
   DstHost = "239.2.20.42" (Tried changing this IP to something else)
   DstPort = "1234"
END

I have tried SFTW and RTM to no avail. And have also checked that my
NIC supports multicast (D-Link DFE-530TX on both machines), the ifconfig
output shows it as enabled.

Has anyone come across this problem before and could possibly point me
in the right direction.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Lee
