[vlc] how to modify vlc

I have installed VLC-0.5.3 on mandrake 9.1

 

I want to use VLC as a client and a server at the same time. In fact VLC will receive a multicast video from the net and transform it to unicast video then streams the new flux to the net.

witch programs should I modify to let VLC do that.
