[vlc] re : pause with command line interface

To do this you have to run vlc with the remote control interface (vlc -I rc or vlc --extraintf rc).
This will spawn a command line interface attached to the vlc process. Then just type the "pause" command.

The next version of vlc will also ship with an http remote control interface, allowing you to control a remote instance of vlc through a web browser.

As for the --quiet option, it just tells vlc not to output any debug messages to the console (might be useful with the "rc" interface).
