0.5.3 installed on win2k and I can view dvds ok but am not able to stream to
disk. I've been through the FAQ and HOW-TO and User guide but can't find
any answers to my three part question.

1. I can see the file being streamed to and it keeps increasing in size but
then well before the dvd should normally end, vlc shuts down and when I look
at the file, it's down to 0kb and nothing is there. Do I have something in
configuration wrong?

2. During streaming, I think I should be able to also view the dvd while
it's streaming. I can't. The view window doesn't even appear. Is this
also a configuration issue?

3. One time I had vlc abort and a message said an error log is being
generated. Where does vlc put this log in win2k.

any help in getting started in the right direction would be appreciated

thanks,
Harry
