I tried setting dummy muxer under Preferences/Stream Output/Mux module.
After starting to play, the system went into a catatonic state and had to be
power recycled to reboot.

Can you tell me where in the WXWindows intf the selection of the dummy muxer
is to be found? Preferences/Encoders/Audio only offers Default as an
option. Under Preferences/Audio/audio output module has a dummy functions
option, however there is no mention of PS,TS or Ogg.

Thanks.

Actually it should work if you force the dummy muxer instead of the ps, ts
or ogg one. You'll need to have only the audio stream selected though.
