[vlc] VLC 0.6.0-test1 and http remote control interface

Hi
I'm currently testing the new version of VLC and it works great.
But I don't understand the aim of the http remote control interface and how
it works.
when I start VLC with this option, I can't write enter any command lines in
the DOS prompt.
can you give me (and us)a few more explanations about this functionality?
