Just a follow-up. If I disable video out, I do see the AC3 es in the transport stream. The file without video plays back without any audio drop-outs.

Subject: [vlc] No A52 es stream in Transport Stream
Hello,
I'm trying to use vlc 0.6.3 to stream from dvd to a transport stream saved as a file. The result is video, and poor audio, with consistent dropouts. When I look at the transport stream I can see the mp2 video es stream, but no A52/AC3 audio es stream. The debug log shows the A52 packetizer as shown:
[00000212] main input: playlist item `dvdsimple:e:@1:1'
invalid options (empty)invalid options (empty)[00000217] access_output_file priv
ate: Open: name:`C:\Movies\Rip\gladiator.mpg'
[00000220] a52 packetizer: A/52 channels:6 samplerate:48000 bitrate:448000
No accelerated IMDCT transform found
Should there be a es stream for the audio? Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Chris
