Hallo

at first, my respect for this greatful project! VLC is the best
Videoplayer for Linux i think. So I want to make a bootable disk with a
mini-Linux on it, which creates a Ramdisk system with Linux and then
plays streams with vlc from the network!
So my question is: Does anybody know something or have got experience
with vlc on a mini-Linux system (for example playing Video with vlc on
the console with framebuffers or something like this)??
To sum up: My goal is to boot about 5-10 VIA MINI-ITX boards (with VIA
EDEN-CPU for example) from one or a few floppydisk(s) or a flash-memory
(SD-Card or Compact Flash). After booting a mini-Linux, this "mini-PC"
should start vlc to play a multicast-stream from a global vls server, so
that you can view a DVD on 5-10 Displays in different rooms. The Control
and Wake-Up on LAN function for this pc's should be no problem, i think!

So does anybody can give me some hints, tips, links to projects with
this theme or even better, is interested in such a project?? If so,
please contact me!

Much thanks for your attention & greetings

Andreas Krings
