Ok, this one will need to be documented in the INSTALL.win32 file.

You're having this problem because you are using the brand new 3.3.1 version of gcc.
You'll then need to use the contrib package that's been compiled for gcc 3.3.1: http://www.videolan.org/pub/testing/win32/contrib-20030824-win32-bin-gcc3.3.1-only.tar.bz2
And make sure you wipe out your current /usr/win32 before extracting this new package.
