VLC doesn't support closed captions neither teletext.

I shouldn't be too hard to do though because we now have a nice text 
renderer (thanks to Dnumgis :) and there also exsists open source closed 
captions decoders (xine has one for instance).

So basically the main task would be to adapt one of these closed captions 
decoders to VLC. You'll also need to hook it up in some way to the mpeg 
video decoder because closed cations are contained in the mpeg video 
elementary stream as user data extensions.
