Hi,

I realy want to try vlc my home media server setup. I'm using an EPIA 1000 Nehemiah as the client running XP. Some DVD's are stored on the server HDD and using powerdvd across the network I get annoying skips in playback which I think vlcwould be good at overcoming.

Using vlc, playback starts great but thebn freezes after 5seconds. It pauses for about 10 - 15 seconds and then starts. The error message is 'Late Picture Skipped'.

CPU usage during playback is around 45%, as is network usage measure on the client. The problem occurs whith --noaudio and when played via http (apache) or just opening the folder.

Any ideas ?

NB CPU usage is on par with powerdvd which used the EPIA onboard mpeg2 decoder, so either the vlc decoder is using the hardware (via directx ??) or it's very fast software :)
