You might check the configuration of your wireless access point.  Many
have settings limiting the total throughput of multicast traffic.  For
example, my WavePOINT-II access points have settings limiting multicast
traffic to either 1 or 2 Mbps.  Traffic sent at a higher speed results in
packets being dropped.

You could try sending to a broadcast or unicast address to see if the link
will sustain higher throughput.
