[vlc] http interface module

Hi,

Recently, I tried the RC (Remote Control) interface module, but could 
not use it because it lacked features I need.  I am now looking at the 
http interface module,  can't find anything I could use there, either - 
but I'm not sure.  Is the http just a browser-wrapper of the rc?

What I really want is to be able to get the frames per second from vlc, 
or get enough info to calculate it.  Any suggestions?
