Hi there!
I'm having a weird problem with streaming video with vlc. I can stream
quite nice using the shorthand syntax (eg. vlc -vvv file.mpg --sout
udp:192.168.1.1), but when I try to use the "advanced" syntax, it fails.
partial screen dump:
[digiman at localhost ~]# vlc -vvv test1.mpeg --sout
'#standard{access=udp,mux=ts,url=192.168.130.246}'
VideoLAN Client 0.5.3 Natalya
...
...
...
[00000169] ipv4 private error: cannot build remote address
[00000169] ipv6 private error: cannot create socket (Address family not
supported by protocol)
[00000168] access_output_udp private error: failed to open a connection
(udp)
...
...
...
And the result is no output on the client.
I'm starting the client simply with 'vlc' and then "play -> network ->
OK". Should I perhaps use some other commandline parameters? I suspect
very much that the problem lies within the above mentioned error
message, and possibly (propably?) with the commandline I used to start
the stream.
Any fixes?
Thanx in advance to all you very helpful people here!
