Well, AFAIK, resyncronisation doesn't work with all kind of subtitles.
Be also aware that the offset has to be given in 1/10 s in the wxwindows
interface, 1s in the OSX one.

Finally, there are hotkeys to resyncronize subtitles on the fly. That
might help. Have a look in the prefences->hotkeys for the key binding on
you box.
