[vlc] acessing rtsp and saving to file

Hi all,

I was curious about something. Since I've been trying to get more info on
how to configure VLC to transmit out to a Darwin Streaming Server, I was
wondering if it is also possible to have vlc play out that transmission to a
file?

IOW, access the realtime transmission via rtsp and save it off as-is to an
mp4 file that would be available for later playback?
