[vlc] auto-shutdown option ?

Hi,

Is it possible to command vlc to play an item and then automatically
self-terminate the vlc process at end of play?

I am using windows as the platform and the behaviour I see when I don't
specify 'loop' is the clip plays and then stops, but the vlc control panel
remains.
