Try to do
vlc -vvv mms://xxxxxx
:sout=#duplicate{dst=std{access=mmsh,mux=ts,url=ip:port/test.asf}}

And then if you like to play the new broadcasted live media you can do
vlc -vvv mms://ip:port/test.asf or you can play it from the WMP9 opening
mms://ip:port/test.asf url

should work (not sure, haven't tested myself)
