The problem here is that your files don't begin with a TS packet sync byte 
(0x47).

Either upgrade to the cvs version of VLC which does handle theses files just 
fine or with VLC <= 0.7.0 you can force the TS demuxer as a work-around 
with "vlc /ts:/yourfile.ts".
