At least for the camera streaming, you need to use Transcoding -- VLC won't
stream the "raw" camera frames.

Subject: [vlc] streaming with vlc

hi.

I'm not sure if this is the right list to post in, but whenever I stream my
cam (or a file) with VLC, i can watch it fine on this PC, but not on any
other machines connected to the same network (btw they're windows machines).

the machines can "talk" to each other that's not the problem. When I put the
udp mrl in the "open network stream..." section with the right port, it
shows it in the bottom of the button bar window but doesnt play it.

Is there anything I can look at. as I say, if I run VLC on the same machine
i'm streaming from it works, but even trying over the net doesnt work.
ther's no firewall on this machine at all and they are all 2 gig AMD's with
plenty memory etc.
