[vlc] MPEG ES question

Hello,
      I am trying to stream a MPEG video only file (MPEG-ES) using VLC. I 
would like to know how I can save the file at the receiving end using VLC. Im 
using a windows OS and the latest version of VLC. Will the following work?

        vlc -vvv udp:1234 --sout file/es:received.mpg
