[vlc] VLC on Mac OS X: playback has 1088 lines instead of 1080

Playing an HD movie back through VLC shows some extra dead pixels at  
the bottom of the playback window.  Looks like I'm getting 1088 lines  
instead of 1080.  Could this problem be related to this issue with  
libmpeg2?
