[vlc] vlc 0.8.0 mpeg file problem

I have a file that does not play with VLC 0.8 (it didn't play either
with v0.7). It plays fine with Windows Media Player, with Real Player 
but
Quicktime has some problems with it as well.

I have the sound ok, but the image remains black.
It's supposed to be "just" MPEG files (no fancy codecs).

How can I help you solve this trouble ?
-> Can I use some command line option to produce some detailed log 
files for you ?
-> Can I upload the file onto your servers for you to investigate (60 
Mo) ?
