[vlc] vlc-0.8.0-win32.exe problem

Hello,

I just downloaded vlc-0.8.0-win32.exe and installed on my win2k machine. 
  All installed fine.  I ran VLC and dragged my SVVD BIN file onto it. 
It churned away, and then nothing.  I loaded it via the File menu, still 
nothing.

Then I uninstalled, and installed vlc-0.7.2-win32.exe, this worked a 
treat first time with no problems.

Is this a known problem in v0.8.0 ?
