[vlc] Enabling features on the fly for embedded vlc

Hi

I was wondering if set_int_variable(), set_bool_variable(), set_str_variable()
in the mozilla plugin of vlc version 0.8.0-test2 can be used to enable
features like de-interlacing and postprocessing on the fly for a
running embedded session. Is that possible and are these the functions
to use ? Are there any examples anywhere on how to use the functions and maybe
a list of variable names ?
