[vlc] can't initialize

Hi:

I have an M-audio  Firewire 410 audio/MIDI interface with my G5 running 
OS X 10.3.5 and I always receive the same error message:
main: no interface module matched "M-Audio Firewire 410,none"
main: no suitable intf module
main: interface "M-Audio Firewire 410,none" initialization failed.

I can receive video from a stream or a DVD but no audio.  Is there any 
solution to this?  Please help if you can!
