hi, i'm sure this question is in the archives but VIA apparently no longer supports searches... anyway, so i'm trying to build FFMPEG for windows to link with VLC. i know i can get it from http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/testing/win32/ contrib files, but i'm making a change to FFMPEG. i'm trying to build FFMPEG with the cygwin stuff i use to build VLC. is that right or do i have to use another build method?
i use FFMPEG configuration --enable-pp. is that right? what else do i need to enable? when i link libavcodec.a with VLC i get errors like ___getreent, __imp_ctype_, ___assert, _inflat undefined.
is there a way to find out how the download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/testing/win32/ contrib files are built?
thanks so much!
